UPSC has declared the results for the UPSC Civil services IAS Mains examination 2015 on its official website, the candidates can log in to check their results.
UPSC IAS Civil Services Main Written Exam 2015 has been declared by UPSC. Candidates can check their results on the official website of the UPSC at upsc.gov.in. The result was declared on February 19, 2016. The UPSC IAS Main Written Exam 2015 were held from December 18 to December 23, 2015. The examinations were held all across the country at the centres as denoted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
The candidates who had cleared the UPSC IAS Prelims exam held in August 2015 and had appeared in the IAS Mains can now check the results of the UPSC Civil Services IAS Main Written exam 2015. The candidates who have cleared the UPSC Civil Services IAS Mains, shall be called for a personality test in the interview by a board constituted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
The marks obtained by candidates in the mains examination and the interview cumulatively will be counted in preparing the merit list by the UPSC after which final results with successful candidates will be declared. The candidates will be accorded the service from among the various central civil services and all India services as per the merit list and the choice as expressed by the candidates in their Detailed application form (DAF) The UPSC will conduct the IAS Prelims examination for 2016 on August 7, 2016 and the UPSC IAS Mains exams will be held from December 3, 2016 for a period of five days. The mains component of the examination procedure entail four papers of General studies, two qualifying papers of language of English and one regional language as chosen by the candidate, one essay paper, and two papers on one optional subject.
